Creative HOLIDAYS

The Outouka Village is open to everyone who wants to spend creative holidays, alone, with friends or family.

Our aim is to bring together old and young, Blacks and Whites in order to discover our cultural differences. To learn to respect these differences and thus, to live in peace. To promote African culture, to help African people be truly proud of their traditions.

To achieve this, we organize human meetings through art. We give African artists the opportunity to share their culture through workshops in African dance, djembe (percussions), balafon, painting and sculpture.

We also invite you to join the centre by taking part in daily activities.

You can buy fish in the fishers’ village in the afternoon. You can prepare meals, just as the Senegalese do: sorting rice, peeling vegetables, crushing seeds.
You can also learn how to prepare the tasty local recipes,
wash the dishes, draw water from the wells, water the vegetable garden, read and coach the children in the evening…

You’ll take part in the family and community life of the people of Casamance. You can share the daily life of the Senegalese, share with them during quiet evenings, under the gentle ocean breeze.

Whenever you request it, we can organize a trip to Casamance, prior to or following your stay.
